The advantage is automatic code generation for FE using text prompts and/or image files. Any PRD for an enterprise app can be generated in seconds and refined. BE and DB design included.
Still, the human element is crucial for selecting the right prompt and giving a finishing touch to UI/UX. It depends heavily on the designer’s perspective and visualization skills.
Code refinement by mid-level engineers remains important, as AI can still generate suboptimal code due to diverse training data.
While SDLC can be compressed by offloading mundane tasks, a smart app designer can still shine with workflow and UI/UX innovation.
By the end of 2025, AI tools may reduce the need for many mid-level engineers. The future lies in using AI across SDLC rather than mastering a specific language.
Real innovation in 2025 will be in developing "agendic apps" for traditional businesses and their interaction with multi-app ecosystems. Interesting times ahead for India’s massive software workforce.
